With over 15 years of stage experience, Sun Jingfan is the only Macau artist professionally trained in the traditional art of Sichuan Opera face-changing in Sichuan, China. His performances are a masterclass in fusion, seamlessly blending authentic techniques with contemporary innovations, such as custom-themed and pop-culture masks.
A pioneer in Macau's entertainment scene, was the first local performer to hold a residency at The Venetian Macao in 2011 and headlined the opening of Sands Cotai Central in 2012. Currently, he performs at Lisboeta Macau’s H853 Fun Factory, dedicated to showcasing the dynamic charm of Chinese cultural heritage.

• February 2026: Co-created and performed the innovative crossover production "Sichuan-Macau Rhythm" (Shu Shui Yun Tian Wu) for the Lunar New Year Float Parade.
• Highlights: Served as the lead designer for choreography and specialized masks, blending traditional aesthetics with modern stage presence.

• Project 01: Exclusive Face Mask Design for Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) – "Mak Mak"
• Project Scope: An innovative fusion of "Mak Mak" (Macao’s official tourism mascot, inspired by the Black-faced Spoonbill) with traditional Sichuan Opera face-changing elements.
• Artistic Concept: Utilizing Mak Mak’s iconic color palette and approachable persona to create a face-changing mask that balances traditional heritage with modern charm. This design serves as a key visual symbol in promoting Macao’s cultural tourism.
• Project 02: Featured Mask Design for Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC) – "MICAF" mascot "Mika"
• Project Scope: Custom-designed artistic face mask for "Mika," the spirit mascot of the inaugural Macao International Children’s Art Festival (MICAF).
• Artistic Concept: Inspired by the vibrant and innocent spirit of the children’s festival, this design employs bold color blocks and geometric lines. By merging Mika’s energetic character with the traditional soul of face-changing art, the project showcases the vitality of intangible cultural heritage to a younger generation.
